RÜFÜS DU SOL is releasing the official remix to their Surrender album single ‘On My Knees’ with Cassian. He is their longtime collaborator, Rose Ave label-mate, and mix engineer. We see its release out now on Rose Avenue, Reprise, and Warner Records. This remix comes just in time for the trio’s world tour of Brazil and Argentina. They take on North America after that, while Cassian tours the US with fellow Aussie Hayden James.
We all know the original track sits at 55M+ streams. Cassian’s remix demonstrates the continued synergy between both acts. It’s a darker take with more broken bass lines and a menacing feel. You can definitely tell it is Cassian’s work from his atmospheric sound. As the first artist on Rose Avenue, the imprint welcomes their esteemed friend with open arms. Both artists shared musical history defies the limits of the studio and the stage. This remix is a testament to Cassian’s pristine production prowess. He joins a grand syndicate of industry titans with other singles off the Surrender LP. Those include Innellea, Vintage Culture, Adana Twins, Solomun, and Anyma.
“The hardest part of making music, for me, is just finding the confidence in what I’m doing. It took maybe 10 albums of working as a mixer or producer for other artists before I was like, ‘Okay I can do this.”Cassian to DJ Mag
