John Summit continues to prove he is one of the best in the game right now. The American producer had the chance to remix one of Diplo‘s biggest tracks on his latest album, ‘Don’t Forget My Love‘. Summit brilliantly transformed the record into a techno song, which makes it perfect for clubs and festivals.
Since the release of ‘Deep End‘ in 2020, John Summit has been on fire. With countless releases that sit on top of the charts, Summit continues to impress people in the industry. As a matter of fact, he headlined many venues and played in some of the biggest festivals in the last few months. A little more than a week ago, he played a techno set at the Resistance Cove stage of the Ultra Music Festival in Miami.
However, many noted – the man himself included – on social media that Summit should have played at a bigger stage since the one used was not big enough. Many attendees who wanted to see Summit perform did not have the chance to do so, since there was not enough space and the sound wasn’t good enough. This sparked up the discussion about the main stage of festivals being too commercial. If you look through the comments of John’s Instagram post about Ultra, you can see that other artists are also acknowledging the fact that Summit should have played on a bigger stage, and that underground music like techno should have better exposure.
