Elon Musk Denies Getting Turned Away at Berghain Nightclub

A few days ago reports came out that Elon Musk got rejected from Berghain, the exclusive German nightclub. Apparently, the richest man in the world right now did not make it to the front of the queue before getting turned away by the doorman. However, Musk denied all of it on Twitter on Sunday.

According to Musk, it was he who refused to enter Berghain. The reason? “They wrote PEACE on the wall”. Moreover, he added in a separate tweet to the thread that he “hated” the word. Take a look at the tweets below.

Based on these tweets, Musk at least saw the outside of Berghain. The PEACE sign is a relatively new addition that currently stretches across the outside of the club in stark black and white lettering. Berghain is famous for letting people in or not in a unique way. In fact, most attendees are simply judged on appearance and vibe alone. It’s quite possible that Musk did not pass the vibe check.

Musk recently opened a Tesla Gigafactory in Berlin, where he threw a 9,000 person party. Everybody knows that the man loves raves and the nightlife in general. However, it does seem like his reputation alone was not enough for Berghain.

Berghain declined to comment for this story. The club has a strict policy of not discussing anything that happens there.

Hours after sending the nightclub tweets, reports revealed that Musk bought a large stake in Twitter. Precisely, he bought 9.2 per cent of the company, worth almost $3 billion. The announcement sent Twitter’s shares up more than 25 per cent in premarket trading.
