Breaking: Carl Cox to Perform All Weekend Long at Ultra 2023

Ultra 2022 literally just ended, but the music festival is already dropping huge announcements for next year’s festival. After starting ticket sales and announcing Swedish House Mafia as a 2023 headliner, the festival is making a mega announcement concerning the Resistance Megastructure.

If you thought Carl Cox closing the megastructure all three nights (for a total of 7 hours) in 2022 was crazy, Ultra is mega-sizing its helping of Cox for 2023. That’s right, Carl Cox will be performing from open at 5pm on Friday until closing on Sunday in the Resistance megastructure! They will be installing a porta-potty right on the stage so he can take bathroom breaks as necessary, a trick they learned from none other than Solomun.

To make room for Carl to completely own his own stage in 2023, the UMF Radio Stage will be replaced by a new Resistance stage that will be an evolution of the dearly-missed Spider. They’re calling this new stage the Octopus and we can’t wait to see it! A spokesperson from Ultra said “now everybody listens to techno so it made sense to eliminate UMF Radio and give the fans three days of Cox and 3 Resistance stages”.

It’s rumored that a series of DJs will appear to play back to back with Carl in the megastructure over the three days, including the newly techno Hardwell. Is it March 2023 yet? We are already super excited for Ultra Music Festival 2023!
