Fehrplay Returns With New Two-Track Mojave EP

Making waves once again is none other than Fehrplay. The last time we wrote about Fehrplay was in September of 2021 for his triple-threat release on Anjunabeats, titled ‘Kiki/Yoyogi/Newspeak. Today, we bring you something a bit different, in the form of a two-track EP, titled Mojave EP. If you’re a fan of Fehrplay and the sounds of the underground, then this is a release you don’t want to miss.

Mojave EP

The Mojave EP starts off quick, with the eponymously named ‘Mojave‘. Wasting no time, the tune begins with a smooth bassline, a kick drum, and some tantalizing high-hats. From here, the track continues to build, and at around 2:20 we get what I would consider the drop. If you’re familiar with the hypnotic sound that Fehrplay has cultivated over the years, this will sound familiar. If not, you’re in for a treat.

‘Tango’, while still progressive is less brooding than Mojave, and more upbeat. This is the type of tune I would expect to hear in an Eric Prydz set, if I’m being honest. When paired together with Mojave, the two do a swell job of showcasing the distinct styles that Fehrplay excels in.

Between the two tracks, the EP runs 15 minutes & 13 seconds long. Having said that, it is a little on the long side, but this is expected with the progressive stylings of Fehrplay. If you’re looking for some good music to get lost in, this is. Fehrplay’s Mojave EP is out now on MOOD OF MIND, and can be streamed below, enjoy!
