Congratulations to Elon Musk and Grimes on their fourth edition to their family. This time, they welcome baby girl Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, also known as “Y“. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the 33-year-old singer, also known as Claire Elise Boucher, goes into some details about her new baby. She and the Tesla founder announced their split last year. But they are still best friends, in a fluid relationship that is at its best now. However, they are both pursuing their own endeavors while being there for their children.

The pair had their second child via a surrogate mother. Exa is for the supercomputing term exaFLOPS. Dark refers to the unknown, and while some people fear that Grimes believes it’s just the absence of photons. She goes on to say that “dark matter is the beautiful mystery of the universe”. Her first choice would have been Odysseus Musk. Now, Sideræl is pronounced “sigh-deer-ee-el”. It is an Elven reference to Galadriel, Grimes’ favorite Lord of the Rings character.

“Whatever is going on with family stuff, I just feel like kids need to stay out of it, and X is just out there,” she says of her son being in the public eye. “I mean, I think E is really seeing him as a protégé and bringing him to everything and stuff.… X is out there. His situation is like that. The best situation here is me training the girl and him [Musk] training the boy.”
