Diplo Drops Highly-Anticipated, Star-Studded, Self-Titled Album, ‘Diplo’

There are few DJ/ record producers with careers as storied as Diplo. For proof of this, look no further than his accolades. He is a ten-time Grammy nominee, 1/2 of Jack Ü (with Skrillex), a founding member of Major Lazer, 1/3 of LSD (W/ Sia and Labrinth), and 1/2 of Silk City (with Mark Ronson). Throughout his solo career, and these groups he’s been streamed billions of times, and has even won a grammy. While his collaborations are some of the best around, his solo work is just as good. Today, we bring you a whole album of such work, in the form of his newly released self-titled album, ‘Diplo‘.

Diplo

It is no secret that Diplo has been on a house kick lately. As a matter of fact, his new album features nothing but that. Meaning tech house, deep house, and everything in between. In addition to this, the album features what could arguably be called his biggest house song to date. I’m speaking of the Grammy-nominated “On My Mind” with Sidepiece.

Diplo’ is full of deep cuts, and collabs with underground legends such as “Don’t Be Afraid” with Jungle and Damian Lazarus. Similarly, it features “One By One” with Elderbrook & Andhim, as well as the more pop-oriented ‘Don’t Forget My Love‘, with Miguel. If that weren’t enough, the album’s tracklist also features collaborations with everyone from the likes Lil Yachty, Seth Troxler, Busta Rhymes, and much more. It goes without saying that there is something for everyone to be found on the album.

With a tracklist 14 tunes long, Diplo’s self-titled album has a runtime of  52 minutes, & 50 seconds. Having said that, if you’re a fan of Diplo, into deep house, or just want to give this album a listen, then this album is for you. Diplo’s new self-titled album is out now on Higher Ground, and can be streamed below, enjoy!
