The Brazilian techno talent ANNA presents her new EP ‘Journey To The Underworld’ through Tale Of Us‘ imprint, Afterlife. This one exemplifies her ability to blend tough beats with transcendent atmospheres.
If we talk about strident and hard techno, we have to mention ANNA. One of the current references of this style, she has been a long-respected name for many lovers of electronic music in recent years. Without a doubt, she is living from the passion that she discovered when she was 14 years old.
Now she releases her ‘Journey To The Underworld’ EP. The three-track body of work proves in every moment to be diverse in texture and melodies. She recently demonstrated versatility by doing techno and ambient versions of her remix of classic ‘Belfast’, but this one goes to the next level. It has all the elements to do an outstanding release: enchanting soundscapes, pulsing beats designed for the dancefloor, and beautiful atmospheres.
“Since March 2020 I am making music without the pressure (that only I put on myself) of creating something that is going to have a strong reaction on the dance floor. And this made me relax and experiment with different sounds and styles. This process opened me up to parts of myself that I didn’t know I had. I created some ambient music, I also have been studying sound healing and this helped me to use frequencies more consciously and for specific purposes.
I have learned how to combine frequencies, music and intention to induce states of expansion, love, joy, contemplation, and this gave a whole new purpose to my work. This full process got me through these very difficult times. Journey To The Underworld” is a mix of this new side that flourished in the last 2 years, of these new explorations, and my more club, energetic and techno that you guys know very well already
