Toolroom & WaterBear Announce New Degree in Electronic Music & Business

Do you love electronic music? and want to make a career in the industry? Toolroom University, and WaterBear, two leaders in the music education industry, just announced the launch of their new BA (Bachelor of Arts) Degree. The degree will specialize in Electronic Music & Business.

The degree’s goal is to give students all the tools and technics needed for a ‘sustainable career as an independent, self-reliant artist‘. This target seems quite realistic given the size and renown of both organizations involved in this new project.

The content

The course targets every aspiring artist that wants to build their musical career. The list includes Producers, Freelance DJs, Electronic artists, Music managers, Sound designers and editors, Songwriters, and composers.

Therefore the degree aims to give its students knowledge in different modules around electronic music and how to build a career in the field. The program will include production modules designed by Toolroom Academy. In addition, students will learn modules about strategy, creativity, the music industry, and networking.

The degree is built on three fundamental elements – your music, your career and your projects. It deals with what really matters in the industry. It will expand your options and push you to produce original, boundary-shifting music

Moreover, and regarding the duration, the degree will offer two options. First, a 3-year full-time on-campus option starting September. Otherwise, you can also undertake the course in a 2-year online accelerated option starting September and January.
