SXSW Returns Next Year With Phase One Lineup

SXSW returns next year for an in-person event with headliners including Surfbort, Maxo Kream, Poppy Ajudha, and more. It’s been two years since the event had its last physical show and now they’re back hosting over 240 artists from around the world. It’s set to take place from March 14-20th, 2022 in Austin, Texas.

“Our first round of Showcasing Artists is a taste of what you can expect to see at SXSW 2022; a diverse lineup full of adventurous talent that’s ripe for discovery. We’re looking forward to bringing the music world back together next March to see where we’re headed.”

About The Event

New, developing, and established artists await you, who will be enhancing their careers here. Reaching new audiences, the event has curated showcases in collaboration with record labels, booking agencies, management, PR firms, export offices, lifestyle brands, and much more. Those presenters include: Rolling Loud, Polyvinyl Records, Double Double Whammy, Keeled Scales, and more. You can find it on their website here.

Artists who played this year that will be returning next year include Yard Act, TEKE::TEKE, Walt Disco, Alien Tango, Katy J Pearson, Luna Luna, Native Sun, Blushing, and more. The lineup is so diverse and vast that you can check it out here.

Penske Media Corporation purchased the festival and owns 50% share. We can expect their return to make up for the hardships they’ve endured during this pandemic. After having to go virtual this year, dealing with a class action lawsuit, and sueing their insurance comapny for settlements, they’re due for redemption.

Texas governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order to ban COVID-19 vaccine mandates. So, we will wait to see what SXSW’s entry policy will be. For those that have missed this event, now’s your chance to get back into it.
