Secret Project Announces Return To Los Angeles With Special Event, One Project

Right when we thought the covid pandemic was about to take a turn for the worst, things actually started getting better. For proof of this, look no further than the announcement of new shows, and festivals. One such show who did just this is that of Insomniac‘s ‘Secret Project’. Secret Project is set to return, albeit in a different fashion. It will return as a one day event, known officially as ‘One Project‘, this October.

In case you didn’t know, Secret Project was launched in 2018. It was created in order to showcase avant-garde and esoteric strains of electronic music. Of course, this hall took place straight in the heart of LA. Its previous two editions have delivered something unique in Los Angeles. A city-center music experience that has long been typically associated with urban centers like Berlin, Amsterdam, Detroit or Barcelona.

Secret Project Presents One Project will again deliver the most cutting edge house and techno international talents. This will take place alongside some of LA’s most beloved underground promoter crews, in the unique raw creative environment of Downtown LA’s Arts District.

A new lay-out and location at 516 S Anderson St will create a more intimate Secret Project experience. It will feature a stage debut yielding a unique 360 dancefloor environment that will house all the artist performances. The never before used space will deliver the urban experience Secret Project is known for. It will be an all outdoor event. One nestled between the factories, bridges, art-strewn walls and industrial core of the Arts and Warehouse Districts.

One Project Lineup

Joining them will be world-class flag bearers for domestic dance floor talent. These are names like the Detroit techno icon DJ Minx, as well as her mentee and Atlanta native, Ash Lauryn. In addition to this, the heavenly father daughter project from Robert Hood, Floorplan will be there, as will be the Texan who conquered Ibiza and beyond, Maceo Plex.

The Italian dancefloor punk stylings of LA fave and Life and Death founder DJ Tennis, will be in attendance, as will the Russian techno sensation Nina Kravitz. The boisterous Scotsman Denis Sulta is set to drop as set, as is the melodic house star Ben Böhmer. Lastly, the Turkish multi-instrumentalist and DJ, Carlita will be blessing the dance floor with her beats, and skills alongside Ireland’s euphoric Krystal Klear. You can also expect to hear the uncompromising techno of FJAAK. What a lineup.
