Report: Bonnaroo Headliner to be Replaced

In a tweet on August 8th, @TheFestiveOwl made a claim that a major act for the upcoming Bonnaroo festival is expected to be replaced. The account is a self-proclaimed source for ‘festival news, rumors, lineups, and giveaways’. And claims to have a ‘very reliable source via @inforoo’.

While Bonnaroo has not yet confirmed this claim; the post itself has sparked a frenzy of people speculating the various acts who may have withdrawn from the festival.

Bonnaroo will take place over 4 days at the Bonnaroo Farm in Manchester, Tennesee from September 2nd to September 5th. It is a large and eclectic festival, hosting all genres of major acts.

This years Bonnaroo Headliners are: Tame Impala, Lizzo, Foo Fighters, Tyler the Creator, Lana Del Rey, and Megan Thee Stallion. If the rumors are indeed true, this would mean that one of these acts will not be present this year. As of now, we have little more than whispers of what will happen.

Bonnaroo is a festival that does not require vaccination or proof of negative covid test. However, the Festival will require masks while moving between venues.

This news comes as a wave of festivals and artists are experiencing pressure from the public to have awareness and consciousness surrounding the public health outcries. There are fears surrounding the new ‘Delta variant’ which can breakthrough to even vaccinated humans.
