Ibiza Opens To Tourists and Is Added to UK’s Green List

Ibiza is officially back! The Rave Island has been added to United Kingdoms’s green travel list. This means visitors will no longer need to quarantine upon their return back to the UK. This was announced yesterday by Transport Secretary Grant Shapps. The Balearic Islands were also added to this list.

While people won’t need to quarantine, they still will be required to take a COVID-19 test before traveling. In addition, they will have to take two COVID-19 tests on arrival back in the country and complete a passenger locator form. Other countries currently on the Green List include Australia, Barbados, Israel, New Zealand, and Gibraltar.

Today marks the first day Ibiza will host their COVID-19 club test event. It will occur at the Hard Rock Hotel and be limited to 2,000 key workers. If all goes well, authorities expect the White Island clubs to return but with significant restrictions. This will include adjusted opening times and reduced capacities. 3AM will be the curfew to keep in line with the Spanish Ministry of Health.

Ibiza is hoping that later in the season things open up even more. Europe has made a slight progression forward towards normalcy again. Still, festivals are being canceled and delayed left and right. But last week, it was announced that Europe was opening its doors to Americans again. Hopefully, the end of the Summer brings dancing back to life all around the world.
