While music festivals are coming back in the US, things are still extremely complicated. International travel is still a patchwork of confusing rules and regulations, as different parts of the world re-open at vastly different rates. Seismic Dance Event is now racing to find a new headliner at the last minute.

UPDATE: Seismic Dance Event has announced that Blacklizt (ZHU) will be stepping up for Charlotte de Witte. Blacklizt is ZHU’s techno/underground alias. A replacement for Enrico Sangiuliano is still forthcoming as well.

Seismic Dance Event is scheduled for this weekend in Austin, Texas and it features a techno heavy lineup with names like Artbat, Enrico Sangiuliano, Paco Osuna, Nicole Moudaber, and Charlotte de Witte. However, Charlotte just shared on Twitter that she is unable to travel to the US for events at the moment due to visa issues. Unsurprisingly, these same issues affected her fiance Enrico Sangiuliano.

This news came as a shock to Seismic Dance, who is now scrambling to find replacements. Believe it or not, that’s not the only risk factor for this weekend’s festival. The weather forecast shows concerning weather patterns that threaten to call off the entire event. The team continues to monitor that situation while finding a replacement for Charlotte.

It may be chaotic, but we can’t complain about festivals coming back into our lives again. We’re praying to the rave gods for a good event this weekend!
