Red Rocks Amphitheatre Pushes to Fully Reopen in July

Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO is pushing to open with full capacity by July 2021. The information was first seen on Twitter in a post by American folk-rock band The Avett Brothers. The band received the information from an unknown source. But, it is likely from Red Rocks coordinators themselves. July 9th is the first predicted date of full capacity – the date of The Avett Brothers’ first performance. The band indicates they will not perform and refund tickets if unable to perform to a full capacity audience.

Currently, Red Rocks Amphitheatre is providing a whole row of empty seats in-between every full. However, with The New York Times prediction for the United States to be at the 60% vaccination mark by July 2021, Red Rocks Amphitheater is set up for a good chance of full capacity by July 9th. Colorado is on pace with this prediction. Even though fully open events are not promised. The state is pushing for fewer restrictions on live music while still trying to keep COVID-19 infections low. Colorado has allowed Red Rocks to hold low capacity events, which has helped to keep the industries alive for the time being. Red Rocks has hosted artists like ZHU already this year. He has performed 3 low-capacity shows this year and is set to perform his last on May 10th.

As COVID-19 cases decrease and vaccination rates increase, EDM events are coming back and we are more than ready.
