To accompany the news of Dreamstate, Genix just released The Story So Far, a 21-track compilation of his greatest hits along with some friends of his. Join him on this auditory journey through Damo’s Anjunabeats journey to date. It includes a multitude of iconic classic tunes for the trance mainstay.
To start off, we have ‘Aura‘ to set the pace for the mix, a fun frothy track from 2012! ‘Destinations‘ follows and then it’s none other than ‘Run‘, the Anjunabeats Volume 11 cream of the crop track. Its progressive synths and melody just transcend you into heaven and it only comes around live every once in a while. I was lucky enough to hear Above & Beyond play this at Nocturnal 2016 and what a moment it was. He follows up this tune with another amazing remix of Above & Beyond’s ‘Anjunabeach‘. Trance doesn’t get any better than this, guys.
He brings forth Sunny Lax with their tune ‘Black Water‘, as well as Fatum, Jaytech, and Judah in ‘All In‘. Next is ‘Durban‘, that hard-hitting track with a bass line we’ll remember always. He transitions into a slower tempo after, taking you through different levels of his musical journey. His mastery is definitely showcased here with his pristine production skills. We get several of his remixes on here and tracks that also feature Andrew Bayer and 7 Skies. He concludes the mix with his techno update of Slusnik Luna’s ‘Sun 2011‘ track.
