Red Rocks Opening This Summer with 2,500 Person Capacity

A year ago today, we were in the midst of complete uncertainty with the Coronavirus Pandemic. Although we are not completely out of the woods yet, we are in a far better place now than we were – we finally have some hope. Fast forward to today, and there is a light burning at the end of the tunnel. As events from all across the globe are starting to drop lineups again, we are so excited to learn that the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre is opening up with a 2,500 person capacity this summer (with Colorado State approval).

80 Years Strong

Typically, this venue can fit around 9,000 people. In the past, Red Rocks hosted shows across all imaginable genres. During the day, it remains open to the public for exercise. More excitingly, Red Rocks will be celebrating its 80th Anniversary this year. Seeing a show at Red Rocks is still on my bucket list, as I’m sure it is for many others. From REZZ, to Alison Wonderland, Zeds Dead, ILLENIUM, and more – this venue is the perfect sanctuary for any artist in the EDM world. The rock formations surrounding the stage allow for insane graphics and lights, drawing the attention back to the stage that sits at the bottom of seemingly endless ascending rows of concrete steps. From what I have heard, it is hard to stay seated at this venue, as the energy from the experience just makes you want to get up and dance.

Even more exciting is a tweet that followed, announcing that ZHU will be performing at the venue on May 3rd and 4th.

Keep an eye on the Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre Twitter as they continue to post about upcoming events. As the summer gets closer, we can only hope that with the rise of vaccine distribution that the capacity for these large events will continue to increase. Until then, stay safe and stay hopeful!
