San Holo Mesmerizes On New Single, ‘IT HURTS!’

San Holo makes a return with yet another single titled ‘IT HURTS!‘ off his forthcoming album, bb u ok?. Previously, the artist put out the title track and ‘Find Your Way‘ featuring Bipolar Sunshine whom he worked with before.

“I wrote “IT HURTS!” about love originally, but just like a lot of my music it’s just as applicable to life in general. There are ups and downs in life and plenty of moments that ‘hurt’. Life can be tough. Life can be ugly. But it’s that pain that makes it all ‘real’,“

‘It Hurts’ is a particularly emotional and venerable song that hosts San’s own vocals and ardent guitar work. Kicking off, it builds on warm and warbly synth notes that intertwine with guitar and singing. From there, it builds into deep dicks in tandem with a melodic component that the artist has us accustomed to. Nonetheless, the star-eyed instrumental simply opens up, expanding into a bridge followed by a choir-like bulky bridge. Overall, the track stands out as one which takes his signature sound, while amplifying unique vocal and instrumental properties, particularly including live and passionate elements.

Throughout, San Holo’s album extends 20 tracks, acting as his second album release following Album1. Notably, this brings his guitars and instrumentations to the forefront, achieving what comes to mind artistically. Furthermore, the body of work includes features such as American Football and Rivers Cuomo of Weezer.
