deadmau5 Launches New House Music Label, hau5trap

Beside already having created a household name through his mau5trap imprint, deadmau5 is launching a brand new label that’s focused on house music: hau5trap.

We’re already familiar with the mark mau5trap has made by providing a platform for a plethora of heavyweight names. Just think of Skrillex, Feed Me, REZZ, Matt Lange, and ATTLAS, all of who have left an impressionable mark on electronic music fans. Moreover, the diversification they provided has not gone unnoticed.

With that in mind, hau5trap is certainly here to build on that legacy while giving a platform to further voices. Kicking off, the first release on the new label will be coming from none-other than Tommy Trash. The track is titled ‘Hiiigh‘, and it will be out via hau5trap on March 4. Notably, this will mark his reunion with Daisy Guttridge who featured on ‘Let Me Go’, the single in collaboration with i_o.

Speaking on the launch of his new label and the debut track, deadmau5 noted:

“With hau5trap, we get to support more things we love specifically in house music. Tommy Trash remixed my ‘Bridged By A Lightwave’ and ‘The Veldt’ tracks, so I’m happy to have him be the first artist to release on hau5trap.”
