Jorn van Deynhoven Will Stop DJing and Producing, Return to Co-Producing and Managing

Trance veteran Jorn van Deynhoven has had quite a remarkable journey in this thing called life. The Dutch DJ and producer has made a track that was voted an official A State of Trance anthem and remixed the biggest names in the genre. He has also bounced back from a serious health scare. Having made a comeback, Jorn is now saying “goodbye” to producing and DJing. Fans need not grieve too much though—Jorn is not giving up on music. He is continuing his career as the co-producer and manager he was before hitting the decks.

Jorn announced his personal decision in a lengthy Facebook post last week titled, “Welcome To The Final Song!” He started by saying that “something very significant happened in my life” in summer 2018. As many fans know, Jorn ruptured his aorta and underwent an emergency surgery. He has spent the past two-and-a-half years fighting his way back in life and creating his first artist album. “I never wanted to reach for the stars and have always been happy with what came my way,” Jorn wrote, and thanked his fans for helping him get to the stars.

He continued: “But now the time has come to make an announcement, something that’s been weighing heavy on my shoulders as of lately: After 25 years in this wonderful music scene, I have come to the decision to say ‘goodbye’ to the trance scene as a producer & remixer.”

“The reasoning behind this is that ‘for me’ my story has been told with all my productions to this date and therefore my story has come to an end,” he explained. “I want to musically realign and only work as co-producer and manager in the background. Just like I did before ‘Jorn van Deynhoven.’”

Farewell Tour

Jorn revealed that his last single under his name will be ‘Viva La Vida’ from his album The Future Is Now, along with an epic remix. He is also going on a long farewell tour of sorts, so fans will have plenty of chances to see him play. Over the next two years or whenever shows are back from the pandemic shutdown, he will fulfill his booking commitments worldwide. The third year will be his final goodbye tour including a best of ‘Jorn van Deynhoven’ showcase. With more than 100 productions under his belt, Jorn promises it will be an unforgettable night.

“Thank you for a magical time!” Jorn concluded. “A dream came true!”
