Lights All Night 2020 Officially Cancelled

Lights All Night is officially cancelled. The New Year’s event that takes place in Dallas, Texas took to social media to announce the cancellation in an official statement:

‘This has been the note that’s been keeping us up at night. It’s true, #LAN2020 (which would’ve been our 11th anniversary) is not happening. There’s simply no way we can justify holding on to your hard-earned money with the slim hope that we’re able to gather at the end of the year.”

Lights All Night is a staple of the Texas EDM community. The team advertises the event as “the longest-running EDM festival in Texas.” 2020 would have been the event’s 11th year.

This year continues to bring a sense of uncertainty. Additionally, with no viable vaccine available to the public, the risk of contracting COVID-19 is still high. New Year’s Eve will be different for everyone around the world this year with the cancellation of in-person events.

Unfortunately, many New Year’s Eve events are being cancelled because of COVID-19. And this isn’t exclusive to just Texas. New York is also cancelling New Year’s Eve festivities for the first time in 114 years. While the Lights All Night team is sad to cancel Lights All Night 2020, their statement emphasizes a hopeful sentiment to “make more memories” soon.
