Barcelona Event With COVID-19 Test-On-Entry to Happen in October

Barcelona will soon host its first event with COVID-19 test-on-entry. The show will be taking place in October at the Apolo.

According to the President of the Association of Concert Halls of Catalonia, Lluís Torrents, there will be a capacity cap of 1000 people at the event.

Eurpoa Press has reported the logistics and guidelines for the event. Attendees will be given a rapid coronavirus test at Can Ruti hospital before entering the venue. Participants with no symptoms who receive a negative test result will be able to attend the event. Those allowed to enter will be required to wear a mask and have hand sanitizer throughout the whole show.

The results from this show may be a huge step-forward into obtaining a “new normal” for Europe and Spain, and possibly the entertainment industry overall. Although the world is making strides to getting back to normal, large happenings and concerts have still yet to return. The results from the Barcelona event will determine whether show gatherings will be possible during the COVID-19 era.
