Desert Hearts Festival Postpones to 2021, Offers Full Refund or Event Credit

We’re sad to hear that one of our favorite West Coast festivals, Desert Hearts Festival, will not happen in 2020. Although we’re heartbroken to not return to Los Coyotes Reservation as we do each year, we know this is ultimately the smart move.

They shared the following statement on their social media platforms today:

Refund and Credit Options

Seeing as it’s undoubtedly a huge financial issue for any festival to cancel their event – and knowing that Desert Hearts is a small, grassroots community – the options presented make sense. Hosting these festivals are not cheap or easy, and they require funds spent throughout the year as the event is planned – so the Desert Hearts crew has provided two options for attendees who’ve purchased tickets thus far.

You can get a full refund back for the tickets, car passes, early access passes and other items you’ve purchased for the event, or you can allow the crew to keep your funds – which will ultimately play a role in keeping the festival alive, if we’re honest – and instead get a credit to put towards any future events that the Desert Hearts crew puts on.

You can learn more and request a refund on the Desert Hearts website. We’ll see you on the rez next year – and in the meantime, tune into their Twitch weekly for music happening five nights a week.
