Beyond Wonderland Returns to NOS Event Center in June 2021

Beyond Wonderland Southern California has been moved to two days in June 2021 at NOS Event Center—and an additional racetrack area as previously planned. Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella announced the festival’s new dates and details in upbeat social media posts on Monday. He billed it as “New Stages, New Dates, and a whole lotta New Experience!”

The down the rabbit hole-themed festival traditionally takes place in March, which is when the coronavirus outbreak began. At the time, Rotella postponed the San Bernardino-based festival to June 19 and 20, 2020. But as the pandemic continued, Insomniac was forced to cancel it, as well as the company’s flagship festival Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas. Now Beyond Wonderland is opening a new chapter. It is not taking place in March this year, but rather on June 25 and 26—the old EDC dates.

“I loved them for the energy of that out-of-school, first huge party of the summer vibe,” Rotella said about the dates.

“Shifting Beyond to later in 2021 makes sense for many reasons. Most especially, I love the extra time for planning and creating!”

Beyond NOS

In February 2020, Insomniac announced that Beyond Wonderland would be expanding to the Orange Show Speedway adjacent to the NOS Event Center. The speedway allows for more space and was last used for Nocturnal Wonderland in 2009. In his new post, Rotella confirmed:

“We will be opening up the racetrack area as originally planned for 2020, & expanding the venue to create the biggest and best Wonderland yet—filled with magic at every turn.”

Insomniac shared a map of the new and never-before-raved areas of the Beyond that never happened. It includes five stages, three full-sized carnival rides, two art cars and new roads and hidden hideaways. Among the stages are Queen’s Domain, which is the world’s largest megastructure, and a new stage called The Looking Glass. The lineup has not yet been unveiled.

People who held on to their 2020 Beyond Wonderland tickets instead of requesting refunds will get a “special upgrade” via email.

Insomniac has not only pushed all of its 2020 festivals to 2021, but also introduced new events for next year. Earlier this month, the company announced the return of EDC Europe for June 18 to 20, 2021, in Portugal. And Last month, Insomniac announced a house music festival, Day Trip, at the Los Angeles waterfront for Labor Day weekend 2021.

Beyond Wonderland tickets go on sale on Thursday at 12 p.m. PT. Passes and deposits starting at $9.99 can be purchased here
