Ibiza DJ Exposed as International Ketamine and MDMA Kingpin

As if 2020 wasn’t crazy enough already, now authorities have named an Ibiza DJ as an international drug kingpin. So far, 21 people have been arrests in conjunction with this – with more on the horizon.

How is this all going down?

Well, it seems, a popular Ibiza DJ has been using his industry connections to distribute the product through major parties. However, this summer, it’s been through private villa parties. As many people know, Ibiza is typically a hot tourist party destination each year. For example, the island is usually made up of house music and partying until the sun comes up. Obviously that’s all turned upside down this year.

When did this start?

This operation actually started in 2019, in Miami, in collaboration with the US Department of Homeland Security. Apparently, drug mules were exporting drugs from Spain to Miami in luggage. Authorities arrested 3 people with 15kg of MDA and 14kg of liquid Ketamine on hand.

Additionally, authorities also made arrests in Barcelona, Palma, and Mallorca. First, they found 18kg of MDMA in Barcelona. Second, they found 14.5kg of MDMA in Mallorca.

What was searched?

A total of 8 properties have been searched in Ibiza, Barcelona, and Girona. The operation in Ibiza was mostly centered around 22 Ostruz Street in Jesus. (Northern Ibiza) Here, 5 people were arrest – 3 males and 2 females. One of those, being the prominent Ibiza DJ.

What did they find?

  • 8kg of Ketamine and Ecstasy
  • 38kg of Marijuana prepared for sale.
  • 4,500 Marijuana plants
  • 45,000 Euros in cash
  • Specially converted drug smuggling vehicle
  • 1 Shotgun
  • Various computers, tools and devices.

In short, Police are estimating that all involved have been responsible for the sale of 2 million ecstasy pills in the last 3 years.
