W&W Drops Remix for The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights’

W&W has recently uploaded their festival remix for The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights‘ to their YouTube channel.

After creating the mix specifically for their 20XX live stream back in May, they decided to release the official version after great reactions from the public. Many fans weren’t expecting the song to ever release so this came as an unexpected surprise.

Recently, Willem van Hanegem and Ward van der Harst have been experimenting in the studio over the past few months. Their latest remix takes a happy medium of trap, big room, and happy hardcore. The track retains The Weeknd’s vocals but completely changes up the tempo and energy. The mixture of sounds and melodies are perfect for both festival and club play.

The Blinding Lights Festival Mix Video and Festival Nostalgia

The video shows the Dutch duo’s journey as DJs playing all over the world. Fans are seen having a blast as we see W&W play at some of the world’s best clubs and festivals.

Here’s what the duo had to say about the video:

” When we got in the video it hit us that we miss playing all these amazing shows SO MUCH!! This summer would have been full with crazy festivals and clubs but unfortunately for everyone we all have to wait until next summer”

Furthermore, W&W invites us to enjoy virtual events and socially-distanced shows this year. They also remind us that all the live shows and music interactions that we miss will eventually come back. So stay safe everyone!
