Coachella Reschedules To April 2020

After the unfortunate news that Coachella would not be taking place this year, a new date has emerged for the California music festival. Coachella promoter Goldenvoice has announced April 9-11 and April 16-18, 2021 as the new dates. They also confirmed April 23-25, 2021 as the new Stagecoach dates.

We’re all hoping that by this time, it will be safe for large gatherings to occur. Going any longer without live shows and festivals would certainly drive many of us crazy.

“A year without Coachella and Stagecoach is hard for us to comprehend, but we have every intention of returning in 2021.”

Nonetheless, 2020 tickets will automatically be valid for 2021. If you can no longer attend, you can also get a refund. If you’re a ticketholder, check your emails for further details and instructions.

Goldenvoice promoters have voiced their concern for the safety of all attendees, stating they are following local health guidelines. Like previous years, Coachella was set to take place in mid-April. Due to the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic at the time, it was pushed back to October.

Even with many activities and businesses opening back up this month, many health experts still believe it’s too early for concerts and large entertainment settings to occur. The possibility of a second wave of the virus is also of great concern. This year, pretty much all major festivals and concerts have been postponed to 2021 due to COVID-19. For obvious safety concerns, we may not see festivals again until a vaccine is available. For now, we’ll just have to stick with livestreams and virtual events until we can all come together again.
