Stockholm To Open Avicii Tribute Museum

Tim Bergling, better known as Avicii, changed the electronic scene during his time and left a lasting mark on the world. Now his legacy is being honored with a tribute museum in his hometown, Stockholm. The Avicii Experience will be an immersive experience as fans find themselves experiencing Avicii’s journey from producing in his bedroom to global success and recognition.

The museum will feature memorabilia, never-before-seen photos and videos, and published and unpublished music, which includes previously unreleased early versions of “Levels.” In addition, there will also be unreleased music from Avicii’s posthumous album, TIM.

The museum will be a part of a digital culture center in one of Stockholm’s main city squares, called Space. A portion of revenues from the Avicii Experience will go towards the Tim Bergling Foundation. The foundation advocates for suicide as a global health emergency and works to remove the stigma that’s attached. It will also support aid work with climate change, global hunger and preservation of wildlife and endangered species. These are all issues that Tim had held close to his heart and had a passion for.

The experience will be an emotional journey for attendees. There’s no set date for the official opening date but it will take place in 2021.
