Watch deadmau5’s Livestream + Q&A With Amazon This Friday

During quarantine, deadmau5 has chosen quality over quantity when it comes to livestream performances. The mau5 has done a few captivating livestreams and is getting personal in his next one on Friday. He’ll be playing in partnership with music streaming platform Amazon Music. And by personal, we mean that he’s doing a question and answers session.

The mau5 is performing + answering q’s live with @AmazonMusic this friday!” the artist shared on social media on Wednesday. “Ask your questions here and tune in on @amazonlive.”

The event starts at 10 a.m. PT and will be broadcasted on Amazon Live

In past Q&A’s, deadmau5 has been really candid, commenting on topics from the EDM industry to Daft Punk, Skrillex, and his future shows and plans. Zimmerman has opened up about starting as an independent artist, telling fans, “I wasn’t scooped up by Tiësto and piggybacked on the stage of Ultra and all of a sudden I’m a f***ing superstar, you know what I mean, you gotta do some work.”

For at least a decade, deadmau5 has communicated with his fans on the internet and given them a view into his life and his productions on platforms including Twitch, UStream, and StickAM. When he was suspended from Twitch last year, he launched a subscription-based platform on the web to continue interacting with his fans. The $5-per-month community forum gave deadmau5 full control of content and allowed him to be transparent with users.

Q&A’s And Livestreams

On Friday, Zimmerman will probably comment on his collaboration with The Neptunes, ‘Pomegranate,’ released just last week. That should be interesting since it isn’t deadmau5’s usual sound and comes off more like a summertime radio hit. Zimmerman has been doing quite a bit of promotion for the track, from his own mau5trap radio to BPM, Apple Music, and the triple j app.

The Amazon Live event comes after a busy streaming week for deadmau5. Last Saturday, he performed for KISS Ibiza and showcased his cube v3 production. The day before, he played on Insomniac’s Factory 93 virtual festival as techno alias Testpilot. Earlier this month, deadmau5 played and interactive set on Fortnite’s Party Royale Premiere along with Steve Aoki and Dillon Francis. We’ll see what he has in store for Friday.
