Biicla Delivers Impressive, Genre-Blending 8-Track Debut EP ‘No Place’

Since we first wrote about the eccentric Russian electronic experimentalist Biicla via his third single “Heart & Stay” back in January, he’s gone on to release another single and now presents us with an extremely impressive and diverse debut EP titled ‘No Place.’

His profile has gone from relative unknown from a small town called Dubna with a population of less than 30,000 to having his name echoed around every corner of the industry in a matter of months through the release of impressive singles like “No Place,” a blend of pop-rock, hip-hop and house which immediately received critical praise from industry taste-maskers like Billboard and catapulted him into the spotlight. Expectations were high after that and Biicla didn’t disappoint with his next releases. In October, he dropped the experimental “Girl” followed by the extremely catchy house single, “Heart & Stay.” After that he released his most recent single, the refreshing, uptempo future pop single, “Deeper” featuring alternative singer-songwriter Modeness.

No Place EP is comprised of four previously released singles and adds four new, diverse originals, “Supermayne,” “Mind,” “Need U,” and “Price Right.” True to what he’s become known for, the additions are completely unexpected and diverse in their inspirations, which range from trap to world music, pop, house, hip-hop, and experimental music. This is an EP you can listen to from front to back over and over never get tired of. In fact, in only gets better. Give it a listen below to see what we mean!
