Jay Robinson & Idris Elba – Know Yourself
Jay Robinson released a new track titled ‘Know Yourself‘ on deadmau5‘ imprint, mau5trap, featuring none other than Idris Elba. The producer has a number of mau5trap releases under his belt, including ‘Nineteen81‘ and the ‘Wear Black EP.’ Notably, he most recently remixed ‘COASTED‘ by deadmau5 in a package alongside Sian and Speaker Honey on other tacks. Moreover, Robinson noted his excitement about finally releasing the track which he thought would remain in sets.
“’Know Yourself’ is one of those records I never thought would make it past being a VIP in my sets. To see it getting a full release on mau5trap with a full feature from Idris Elba feels truly surreal!”

Kicking off, ‘Know Yourself’ moves around a short kick and snappy hats for the rhythm. Progressing, Idris Elba’s vocal contribution appears as a solemn vocal tone atop the synth counterpart. Reaching it’s peak, a dark rumbling bass conjoins with the kick, creating a sinister-sounding ambiance.
