Highlights And New Releases From Livestreams Last Weekend

Last weekend was weekend three of coronavirus quarantine with a massive amount of livestreams options and it did not disappoint. To fans’ delight, several DJs dropped new music. The streams included Proximity and Brownies & Lemonade’s three-day Digital Mirage online music festival, Insomniac’s third virtual rave-a-thon, and artists’ own events.

Here are some highlights to relive from home as we await the coming week and weekend of more livestreams.

New Music

Gryffin premiered a track, ‘Cry,’ at the end of his Digital Mirage set on Saturday, against a beautiful ocean green screen backdrop. 

Alison Wonderland dropped an unreleased track, ‘Eyes Closed,’ during her Digital Mirage set on Sunday.

Don Diablo unleashed a recorded set in collaboration with Formula 1, on a new site of the racetrack in Zandvoort, featuring songs that have or will be released on his HEXAGON label. In addition, he played a Digital Mirage set with an impressive setup on Saturday.

Kaskade did a live set on Instagram live and Twitch on Saturday to celebrate the release of his REDUX 004 EP. Additionally, he played a Digital Mirage set on Friday.

Other Highlights

Sandro Cavazza paid tribute to the late Tim Bergling with a raw performance accompanied by a guitarist on Friday. The five songs he sang on Digital Mirage were Aviici’s ‘Gonna Love Ya,’ Kygo’s ‘Happy Now,’ his and Kygo’s finished version of Avicii’s ‘Forever Yours,’ and Avicii’s ‘Sunset Jesus,’ and ‘Without You.’

Timmy Trumpet played and raged from his place in Sydney on Sunday. 

Dab The Sky (Dabin x Said The Sky) jammed on guitar and keyboard, respectively, for a fun and energetic set on Digital Mirage on Friday.

JAUZ closed out Insomniac’s HARD Summer Staycation virtual rave-a-thon on Saturday with house and drum and bass sets. 

From Ibiza, Adam Beyer presented Drumcode Indoors II on Beatport Live on Friday. 

While new music was a treat, so was a blast from the past. Check out 3LAU’s Digital Mirage set from Saturday packed with 2010s nostalgia.
