Google Updates Pixel Buds To Compete Against AirPods

Google is ready to impress the market with a new update of the Pixel Buds. The company from Mountain View presents a new generation of Pixel Buds in order to beat Apple’s star product AirPods

The previous version of the Pixel Buds contained a weird wire connecting the two earbuds, something unacceptable in the current times. Rival brands like Apple or Huawei developed their product more according to the actual trends. But now Google is back with an update on the earbuds, which is ready to compete with the AirPods

This new edition is truly wireless, with improved sound quality, and full compatibility with Google Assistant voice controls. The design is very cool and uses a charging pod to house and charges the buds when not in use. The connectivity of these buds are something that Google puts a lot of effort into. They achieved a system of pairing as easy as the AirPods do with the iPhone or even easier so they get quickly connected to Android 10 devices.

The new case of this new edition of Pixel Buds supports wireless charging and has a large battery that can provide around 24 hours of battery life. On the other hand, the battery life on the buds is rather short. Without charging them they can last about 5 hours of continuous listening, not bad, but also far from the best earphones of this category.

However, noise cancellation is not present in this version of the Pixel Buds, which may be a disappointment for many people. In addition, the Pixel Buds feature custom-designed 12mm drivers, which will definitely provide high-quality sound. Two missing specs that these earphones do not have are ANC and EQ customization in the app.

This device seeks simplicity, quality of sound, and ease of use. In words of a Google spokesperson “The goal is to create a great listening experience across the broadest spectrum of music genres”
