Cassian Releases Title Track Off Upcoming Album, ‘Laps’

With his album set for release on June 26, Cassian released the title track, ‘Laps‘, via RÜFÜS DU SOL‘s Rose Avenue imprint. The album will also include the previously released ‘Lafayette,’ ‘Same Things‘ featuring Gabrielle Current, and ‘Magical‘ featuring Zolly. In tandem with the title track, Cassian spoke out on the meaning behind it.

“Laps is about closure, the end of a journey and the beginnings of a new one. It’s about a linear path that starts in one place and ends in a different one.”

Press Release

‘Laps’ has the Cassian signature painted all over it, starting off with atmospheric pads. Building onward, synths and vocal chops sleekly meld their way in, until the bass rhythm delivers its moving groove. Just like the artist described, the track’s flow is on a constant path, but it has a few twists and turns along the way.
