Hardstyle family, today is the day none of us wanted to happen. We know that coronavirus has taken every single event and festival away from us. We knew this day was coming, and it’s finally here. Defqon. 1 and many other festivals have officially been postponed until June 2021.
Along with that, all other Dutch festivals supposed to take place throughout September have been canceled. This includes Awakenings, Dominator. Mysteryland, Intents Festival, and Decibel Outdoor.
Mark Rutte, the Dutch Prime Minister, made a declaration today in a press conference stating that all events happening in The Netherlands will not be able to proceed. This ban continues up until September 1st, 2020.
This one hurt the most because this affects every single hard dance festival in the motherland, the Netherlands. I’m sorry I can’t bring you better news about festival season, but this is for the safety of us, the Weekend Warriors. STAY HOME, wash your hands, practice social distancing, and DO NOT protest stay-at-home orders. Hopefully we’ll be back under the sun at at European festivals soon.
