Jewelz & Sparks are back at it, and this time they’re dropping their newest track titled ‘Up In The Air‘. ‘Up In The Air’ marks their first release of 2020, and we’re happy to be here for it. If you’re unfamiliar with their past works, just know that they are known for their take on progressive house.
The track is built around the classic ‘Put Your Hands Up In The Air’ sample. This sample is so well known, that I’m positive you’ve heard it before. The drop is neat in that its a bit of a contradiction. I say this, as it doesn’t really sound like a drop, but rather a buildup to a drop.
This is because the drop is centered around a synth that just seems to just build-up, higher, and higher. What does it build-up to you may ask, well, it’s to… nothing? While it might sound a bit odd to listeners at home like myself, I don’t think it was made for us. I’m sure that this song was made with the intention of being dropped mid-festival, big drop and all. With that being said, this is a tune that I can’t wait to hear live.
With a runtime of only 2:34, this is a track you might want to listen to a time or two. While ‘Up In The Air’ is a bit different from their typical progressive house/big room vibe, it’s an interesting track nonetheless. In conclusion, Jewelz & Sparks new track ‘Up In The Air’ is out now on Spinnin’ Records, and can be streamed below, enjoy!
