In light of the current Coronavirus recommendations to stay home and social distance ourselves, Defected Records is offering a virtual music festival this Friday. As a way of fighting quarantines, confinements and cheer up the population, Space Miami also decided to provide some music to our lives.
The Coronavirus outbreak is causing havoc to our daily lives. In many countries, there is already quite a state of alarm – many populations have been required to stay home for at least 14 days. As a way to stop the spread of this terrible virus, countries like Spain, Italy, and France have put the country in lockdown.
This virtual event seeks the objective of re-connecting fans with your fellow house heads in a different way. Their Facebook explains:
Defected Virtual Festival… No barriers, no prejudice, no VIP… everyone together on a virtual dance floor. Celebrating unity & solidarity. This Friday, from 12pm – 12am, we will be programming 12 hours of house music on Facebook Live and YouTube. The 12 hours will consist of classic sets, never-before-heard exclusives and brand new mixes from all of your Defected favourites. 🙏

Space Miami Joins Livestream Race
Moving to another continent, Space Miami also proposed a similar idea for this weekend. Making up for Saturday, March 14, Guy Gerber‘s set cancelation and Miami Music Week events, Space Ibiza joins the virtual race with several live streams. The club faces a big challenge as the lineup for this week had big fishes like Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Claude VonStroke, Jamie Jones, Richie Hawtin, and other marquee names.
With the cancellation of every single Miami Music Week event, Space decided to temporarily close. After some time spent thinking, the world-famous club decided that music is the answer to many problems. Naturally, they had to think of a way to treat their fans.

Marco Carola will be live streaming starting at 2pm ET on Friday, March 20, at Club Space. You can tune into the stream via facebook.com/clubspace.
Space also plans to help the people most at risk of being forgotten and untreated during the pandemic. The club will organize a food drive when it’s safe for staffers to coordinate the effort.
