Martin Garrix Confirms Collaboration with Zedd

Martin Garrix has got fans excited by announcing he and fellow superstar producer Zedd have an ongoing collaboration coming. The former DJMag #1 DJ claims the pair hope to have the track ready for a premiere at Ultra Miami or Tomorrowland.

In a video interview with Revolution 93.5 out of Miami, Garrix revealed that they’d been talking about working together for as long as seven years, but “partying and chilling” had always got in the way.

“Zedd and I have been talking about doing a song together for about, I think, 7 years maybe.”

Furthermore, Garrix explains how their collaboration has a ‘crazy, very weird and different chord progression’. He said he’s sent Zedd the stems, so it’s up to the 2014 Grammy award winner to bring it closer to its conclusion.

The track will be the first collaborative release between the two heavyweights. With both of them being world renowned producers as well as friends, it seems like the world is in for a treat.

Martin Garrix’s last drop was a collation of remixes of his 2019 tunes from STMPD Records artists on December 31. Four days earlier, he released his original track ‘Hold On’, with Matisse & Sadko and Michel Zitron. On the other hand, Zedd last hit our playlists in September with ‘Good Thing’, featuring R&B and hip-hop singer Kehlani. The Russian-German producer spent most of fall touring USA and Europe with his brand-new live show ‘Orbit’.

Martin Garrix didn’t confirm if it will definitely get a release within 2020, but we do know it will reach our ears soon. Both artists will be at Ultra Miami in March, as well as Tomorrowland in July, so make sure to catch their sets if you want to see this collab live!
