The yearly Super Bowl advertisements are what most people look forward to if they’re honest. With a half a minute ad costing over $5 million dollars, advertisers have to make sure that they’re being cost effective and that the money is well spent. This year, companies have decided to put a face on their ads. We see Lil Nas X, DJ Khaled, Jennifer Lopez, and Post Malone make an appearance.

Lil Nas X had an incredible year with “Old Town Road” and he has popularized Western wear. So it shouldn’t be too surprising that he was picked up for a Super Bowl commercial. He was in his element with co-star, Sam Elliott, as they danced off in the wild west for a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos.

J-Lo and DJ Khaled found themselves in a chase around Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. J-Lo has no problem with looking glamorous while performing something physically demeaning, as demonstrated through the recent Hustlers movie. As they run through the establishment, we’re able to get a glimpse of everything Hard Rock has to offer.

As for Post Malone, he’s always been outspoken on his love for beer. Especially Bud Light. So it’s a no-brainer for the company to pick the beer loving rapper as the face of their new product announcement. Post Malone demonstrates the very real difficulty of choosing between two products. However, spoiler alert: he’s rich enough to get both.

Although the Super Bowl LIV just barely wrapped up, I already look forward to seeing next year’s commercials. This year’s was certainly creative and refreshing.
