The lineup confirms some artists that were obvious from Rotella’s “Music Through Music” song clips the night before. Tracks by Tiësto, Fisher and Gryffin were among those clearly heard and now confirmed.

Reactions to the EDC lineup were mixed.

Some dance music fans, especially EDC Las Vegas first-timers, complained that the lineup was not more stacked with “big DJs.” EDC has been known as a one-stop festival in North America for almost all the most renowned names across genres. While one would expect that for the festival’s 10-year anniversary in Vegas, Insomniac seemed to take a different approach.

EDC Lineup Big Names And B2Bs

Here’s a list of some of the usual artists that many fans are upset aren’t listed: Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Chris Lake, Dmitri Vegas & Like Mike, Eric Prydz or Cirez D, KaskadePorter Robinson, any of the trio of Swedish House Mafia. Besides Tiësto, EDC goers will get Alesso, David Guetta, DJ Snake and The Chainsmokers.

On the flip side, there are some interesting back-to-backs including 2 = 1 (Timmy Trumpet b2b W&W), Afrojack b2b R3HAB, Diplo b2b MK, Jauz b2b Oliver Heldens, and Slander b2b Said the Sky. The EDC lineup is also heavy with fresh faces.

Insomniac is putting money into a new, ninth stage called skyLAB which will be “devoted exclusively to house music.”

The festival taking place May 15 to 17 was sold out long before the lineup release and has a waitlist.
