Drumcode Festival Will Not Return in 2020

Drumcode Music Festival will not be returning to the NDSM Wharf in Amsterdam this year. According to Awakenings, the organizers of the event, it will not be possible due to unforeseen changes happening at its beloved venue.

Unfortunately, the NDSM Wharf is currently building apartments. This change would prevent Drumcode Music Festival from achieving its desired sound level. In response to this, the organizers have been looking for a new venue where they can hold the event. Sadly, they have been unable to find one that can meet the same music festival format as its previous years.

However, instead of holding the festival this year, there will be a one-day outdoor event titled Awakenings | Adam Beyer Presents Drumcode. It will take place near Amsterdam at De Ven, Velsen-Zuid. Ticket sales will begin today at 16:00 CET.

For the last two years, Drumcode Music Festival took place in Amsterdam. It brought the great sounds of techno to the popular city. Talented artists such as Charlotte De Witte, Amelie Lens, Julian Jeweil, and Boxia performed at its 2019 event. It is unfortunate that it will no longer be taking place this year.
