Axtone, Alison Wonderland Join Bushfire Relief Efforts

2020 has been shaken by many international problems. One of, if not the biggest, has been the bushfire situation in Australia. If you’re not informed, you can read a pretty good explanation here. In short: an area about the size of South Korea has gone up in flames. If that’s not enough to worry you, then I don’t know what could do it.

Australia is a country that has given EDM so much over the years. Some of the biggest DJs in the world hail from here. This, along with a sense of sympathy for the world we live in, has prompted thousands of reactions from the EDM community. One example was the fundraiser created by Australian trio Rüfüs Du Sol and CRSSD Festival. Along with this, two more efforts by some of our favorite DJs have also come about.

Wonderland To The Rescue

Hailing from Australia, DJ and producer Alison Wonderland was one of the first artists to move in favor of helping the current situation in Australia. The DJ released a special merch line with the slogan “Climate change is real”. Yesterday, Wonderland tweeted a couple of pictures thanking everyone for their support and contribution to the campaign.

Alison Wonderland was one of the firsts artists to join the Bush Relief activities.

Who’s Gonna Save The World?

Another DJ who’s joined the efforts to help save the world is Axwell. The Swedish DJ honors his super track ‘Save The World’ with Swedish House Mafia. Today, Axwell’s label Axtone announced a raffle from a Tomorrowland Axtone signed flag. All proceeds from the raffle will go to the Australian Red Cross.

This is our world. Our planet. If we don’t do anything, then it won’t be anymore. We thank this artist for using their voice to promote a change. Many more efforts are taking place around the globe, but the EDM industry is raising its hand to help.
