Balance (Remixes, Pt. 2) Reworks Four More Armin van Buuren Tracks

Armin van Buuren is doing the trance family a major favor today as he is releasing more remixes from his latest album, Balance. With Balance (Remixes, Pt. 2) hitting stores today, the start of February promises to leave fans’ hearts full of love this weekend. Just a mere 10 days ago, the first batch of remixes begin making it into circulation. So, for those who haven’t heard them yet, let’s just say your proverbial cup of Armin van Buuren runneth over.

In continuance of the series’ theme, Balance (Remixes, Pt. 2) enlists a diverse grouping of tracks representing AVB’s unique sound. This time, ‘Something Real,’ ‘Runaway,’ ‘Unlove You,’ and ‘Always‘ get the remix treatment. Furthermore, a sundry set of producers get in on the remixing action. Cosmic Gate, Fisherman, Myon, and Assaf each experiment with re-imagining one of Armin van Buuren’s songs. From this, a plethora of styles and techniques further ingrains the album’s theme of “balance.”

Myon, Assaf, Cosmic Gate, & Fisherman step up to remix for AVB on Balance (Remixes, Pt. 2)

Myon & Cosmic Gate Shine on AVB’s Balance

With this roster of veteran producers and newcomers, Armin definitely inherits a solid collection of remixes for his Balance series. Although each producer holds his own with their individual assignments, the veterans definitely show their mettle on the project. In particular, Myon installs a filthy drop into his version of ‘Unlove You’ (feat. Ne-Yo). Easily, it’s the hardest hitting of the bunch. Conversely, Cosmic Gate’s rejuvenation of ‘Something Real’ (feat. Jordan Shaw) offers a more uplifting vibe with an emphasis of highlighting the original vocals. Nevertheless, it’s always a great thing when lesser known artists get an opportunity to show what they can do. That makes Balance (Remixes, Pt. 2) an overall well-rounded package.
