Diplo & SIDEPIECE – On My Mind
Diplo‘s anticipated track ‘On My Mind’ is finally out. In his first-ever collaboration with SIDEPIECE, the house record engulfs listeners with funky beats. It features sped-up vocals sampled from 702‘s classic ‘Steelo’ with Missy Elliott, which works well with the groovy tune. The new single was released on Diplo’s new label Higher Ground, which is dedicated for house music from aspiring artists as well as veteran producers.
If you’re not familiar with SIDEPIECE, you might actually know more about them than you think. SIDEPIECE consists of Party Favor and Nitti Gritti, who started their duo adventure earlier this year. So far, the music they’ve produced has been far different from their usual pumped-up tracks. Furthermore, their music has been well received, including their first track ‘Wanna See You’.
In regards to their new collaboration with Diplo, the duo said:
