Billboard Reveals Top Facebook Live Videos of 2019

Is that time of the year again when every streaming platform releases their statistics and shows us how well (or bad) we behaved throughout the year in terms of our streaming habits. Spotify already dropped Spotify Wrapped, and YouTube did it too.

Today, Billboard has gone a little beyond this trend and, for the first time, is bringing us the ‘Top Facebook Live Videos Chart‘, so we can finally find out which has been the most streamed live video of the year in this social network. So, start your bets now, as the results will definitely surprise you!

Without a doubt, 2019 has been a great year for Tomorrowland. It has established itself as the biggest, most unique music festival in the world, and this year, amidst the celebrations of its 15th year anniversary, many artists had their chance to shine in the beautiful holy grounds of Boom, in Belgium.

So if you were thinking that the most streamed Facebook Live Video of the year has been streamed from Tomorrowland, congratulations! You guessed right. But, whose set has been streamed the most? Martin Garrix perhaps? Or maybe Armin van Buuren?

The answer is none of them, but the dutch duo W&W. Their set was not only seen more than 2.7 million times in the following week after the live streaming, but it’s also the video that cumulated the more user engagement of the year (reactions, comments and shares).

In second place, comes Oliver Heldens, live from Tomorrowland (again), and in the third place we have Afrojack’s set, also live from – guess where – Tomorrowland! The common factor here is pretty easy to spot, isn’t it? Tomorrowland is doing it right. And they’ve just announced today that their contract in the city of Boom has been renewed up until 2034!

The Top Facebook Live Videos Chart is a ranking that has been going for a while now, but up until this date, it was only presented as a monthly overview. Which one will be the most live streamed video in 2020? Only time will tell.
