ALDA And Insomniac to Launch SAGA Festival in Bucharest

What comes to mind when we think about Romania? Vampires and medieval castles definitely come to mind, and maybe the Carpathian Mountains for the hiking fanatics. But soon, EDM will be part of this list. With UNTOLD seeing an exponential rise in popularity in recent years (courtesy of Armin’s marathon sets) and Electric Castle raking in stellar lineups, Romania’s university town Cluj-Napoca has definitely seen a boom in music-loving tourists. Now, leading event companies ALDA and Insomniac will take that one step further. Announced earlier today, the two will bring a whole new concept named SAGA Festival to Bucharest. It would also be the capital city’s first major music festival.

Slated to take place from June 5 to 7, SAGA Festival in Bucharest will consist of five stages. It will also host an impressive lineup of 150+ artists. Worldwide ticket sale has been announced for Friday December 6, and pre-registration is available on their official site. Tickets will be available at a special offer price of just 99 RON (~23 USD).

On the SAGA Festival Instagram account, the following was posted this morning:

Despite it being a new festival, ALDA and Insomniac’s strong track record make it almost a risk-free investment. Just to drop a few names, ALDA has organised A State of Trance, and AMF, while Insomniac, as most of you would know, looks over the likes of EDC and Nocturnal Wonderland. Having joined forces via a 50% acquisition by Insomniac last year, the two companies definitely have what it takes to curate the perfect festival experience.
