Flume has had quite the year. Between dropping a mixtape, an EP, and loads of singles, there isn’t much he hasn’t done musically. I suppose that’s where having other artist remix your work comes into play. From the looks of things, this is exactly what Flume is having done. The latest remixed track is Flume’s ‘Rushing Back‘, featuring Vera Blue – done by none-other than Moroccan-French DJ/record producer Petite Biscuit. If you’re familiar with Petite, I’m sure you would agree this is a match made in electronic heaven.
Now, landing an official remix isn’t an easy thing to land – much less for such a high profile artist as Flume. However, Petite Biscuit was clearly up for the challenge. Biscuit is best known for his debut track ‘Alone‘ as well as for his track ‘Sunset Lover’. After listening to his Flume remix, it is evident to see characteristics of both of these tracks in ‘Rushing Back‘. More specifically, sound characteristics like those Petite-esque vocal chops and melodies.
