Martin Garrix Awarded Plaque for 10 Billion Streams in 3 Years

Martin Garrix quickly rose to fame and gained popularity. It comes as no surprise that he has surpassed Tiësto, who discovered him, in streams. “Animals” had jump-started his career in 2013, and since then he’s been steadily putting out hits and accumulating streams and sales. Over the course of the last three years, Garrix has amassed 10 billion streams. The DJ/producer was awarded a plaque, to celebrate this monumental achievement.

Among the 10 billion streams include large amounts from his recent collaborations. “In The Name Of Love” (2016) has 868 million, “Scared To Be Lonely” (2017) has 733 million, and “There For You” (2017) has 454 million. They are all certified RIAA platinum.

Additionally, Garrix received a plaque shaped to represent his logo with his accomplishments printed on it. It states that the artist has 10 billion streams, 2.5 billion video views and 35 million downloads worldwide with Sony Entertainment.
