Paul van Dyk Releases New Single Off Upcoming Album ‘Galaxy’

In 2016, the trance music world almost lost one of the greats. Because of this, Paul van Dyk (whose real name is Matthias Paul) has returned to producing albums and tracks that have continued revolutionize the trance genre. Today, we finally are able to hear a taste of what is to come as Paul has teamed up with Israeli psytrance duo, Vini Vici on their new track, ‘Galaxy’.

Since his accident, Paul has produced two studio albums. It’s easy to see from the track titles in both From Then On and Music Rescues Me that Paul has learned from his accident and to soak up the beauty of life.

And now, the DJ is releasing his next creation, Guiding Light. His 10th studio album will be available to his fans in 2020. ‘Galaxy’ will be the first track released from his upcoming album.

Fans heard a taste of the track first in August during Paul’s performance at SHINE in Ibiza. Fans were surprised to see the video on Facebook at first but it eventually peaked their interest.

In ‘Galaxy’, it is easy to hear both artist’s signature sounds. van Dyk’s melodic and uplifting style dominates the first half of the track while Vini Vici’s bass-heavy psytrance rounds up the last half.

According to van Dyk:

“It’s always an aim to inspire others through music, and that’s my mission with my new album ‘Guiding Light’. I collaborated with some of the most talented up and coming artists in trance music over the past year, recording sessions across the world from my home studio in Berlin to hotel rooms in far corners of the globe.”

The collaboration is sure to spark some discussion among the trance world. However, it contains the energy and variety that the genre needs! In the meantime, it also pushes fans to find the patience required until the album is released.
