New York City was barely recovering from the hangover of 3 consecutive Eric Prydz‘ shows this past weekend when the man dropped another bomb. HOLO, the iconic Prydz show that marked it’s debut in 2018 in the United Kingdom, is set to grace NYC soon. This will be the first holographic show from Eric to touch down in New York since his EPIC 4.0 tour stopped at Terminal 5.
The writing was clear on the wall after the first wave of HOLO shows in 2018. Their huge success that included dates in Belfast and Glasgow in June before being wrapped up with the final installment in Creamfields, Daresbury in August last year would pave the way for further shows. The intention of these was to showcase more of the live holographic experience across different venues as their set-up was more tour friendly than the custom built EPIC stages. It was only a question of ‘when’ and ‘where’ that would mark it’s return.
After Eric Prydz’ ‘HOLOSPHERE‘ and ‘VOID‘ shows in Europe this year, the American fans were feeling left out. Bringing them in on the fun, NYC will get the first and only US HOLO shows on December 27 and 28, 2019.
Over the last weekend, NYC was testimony 3 consecutive Eric Prydz shows, courtesy of a main-stage appearance at Electric Zoo on Friday, a Pryda Arena the next day at the same festival and an after-party at the Brooklyn Mirage on Sunday. After this announcement, Prydz’ fans around have every reason to believe they are living the dream of their lives!
When and where will this show be? Stay tuned to find out.
